Website
Skid Row formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey. The band is best known for its former singer, the Canadian Sebastian Bach, and its power ballads. Tracks like 18 and Life, I Remember You, Monkey Business or Youth Gone Wild, which propelled them to the pinnacle of fame, are considered major. The band's musical style is a rock typical of the 1980s but much heavier than certain bands such as Poison or Bon Jovi. Their style is comparable to that of Guns N Roses, Judas Priest, and Motley Crue. Sebastian Bach, singer and frontman of the band, was able to bring success to his band as much through his talent as through his extravagances. Thus Skid Row became very popular in the United States after their first two albums, Skid Row and Slave to the Grind, which are considered their most successful works to date.
