Soilwork

Soilwork is a Swedish metalcore/melodic death band formed in 1995. The band was first known under the name Inferior Breed, with the following members: Bjorn Strid, Peter Wichers, Jimmy Persson, Mattias Nilsson and Carl-Gustav Döös. In the fall of 1996, the band took its current name "Soilwork". After a demo named In Dreams We Fall Into The Eternal Lake, they found Ola Flink, the band's new bassist, to embark on the preparation of their very first album, Steelbath Suicide, signed to the French label Listenable Records. After the recording of the album, a few changes were added to the line-up: Henry Ranta took a place on drums and Ola Frenning on rhythm and lead guitar. In 1999 their second album, The Chainheart Machine, was released.
