Speed Queen

Speed Queen is a French hard rock band from Mulhouse. Active between 1977 and 1983, the band has two albums: the eponymous one, released in 1980, and II released in 1982. Starting out under the name Black Rats, the band renamed itself Speed Queen in 1978. It opened for Scorpions in Strasbourg in 1978 before taking part in the compilation released by the Crypto label, Rock d'Ici, on which two of its tracks, Be Bad Man and One of these Days, appear. In June-July 1979, the band was the opening act on Motörhead's French tour; Lemmy having become friends with the band, he invited them for two concerts in England.
