Steve Vai

Steve Vai is an American rock guitarist and singer born on 6 June 1960, considered a guitar hero. Steve Vai began his career at 19 as a musician in Frank Zappa's band. In 1984, he recorded his first solo album (Flex-Able). He then joined the band Alcatrazz where he replaced guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen for one album and one tour. From 1985 to 1989, he played alongside David Lee Roth, the former singer of Van Halen, with whom he recorded two albums, Eat 'Em and Smile (1986) and Skyscraper (1988). He left David Lee Roth to record his second solo album Passion and Warfare, which achieved great success and launched his solo career. He continued with the release of Sex & Religion in 1993, Alien Love Secrets in 1995, Fire Garden in 1996 and The Ultra Zone in 1999.
