The Black Crowes

The Black Crowes is an American rock band, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. It was formed in 1989 and disbanded in 2015. Their Southern rock is very strongly influenced by pioneers such as The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, but also largely rooted in the music of the Faces, and of 1960s-1970s bands such as the Rolling Stones (Mick Taylor era) or even Led Zeppelin. Their influences also lean toward The Velvet Underground, of whom they would do a few covers such as that of the song Oh! Sweet Nuthin, but which would nonetheless once again lean toward the Southern style.
