The Blood Divine

The Blood Divine is a British Gothic metal band founded in 1996 and disbanded in 1998. The Blood Divine was founded by Paul Allender and brothers Paul and Benjamin Ryan, after the three musicians left Cradle Of Filth before the recording of Vempire. They were soon joined by singer Darren White, ousted from Anathema after The Silent Enigma, as well as by drummer Was Sarginson and bassist Steve Maloney. Awaken, released on Peaceville Records in 1996, is their first album. Paul Allender left the band during the recording of the following album, Mystica, released in 1997, again on Peaceville Records. Benjamin Ryan left the band for a while in April 1998, and in May, the rest of the band threw in the towel. In 2002, Peaceville released the compilation album Rise Pantheon Dreams.
