The Moaning

The Moaning is a Swedish Melodic Black Death band formed in 1994 in Luleå, Norrbotten. The band released its first demo, Promo 94, the same year, followed by its one and only album, Blood from Stone, in 1997. That same year the band split. Not only is Blood from Stone one of the best melodic black/death metal albums you have never heard of on that crowded Swedish scene, but it also possesses one of the finest covers on the market, an eerie forest scene with a colour palette that rivals your Somberlains and Storms of the Light's Bane.
