WebsiteThe Offspring, or simply Offspring, is an American punk rock band, originally from Orange County, California. Formed in 1984, the band currently consists of Dexter Holland on vocals and rhythm guitar, Greg K on bass, Noodles on lead guitar, and Pete Parada on drums, replacing their historic drummer Ron Welty. The band gained international fame with the release of the singles Come Out and Play (Keep 'em Separated), Self Esteem and Gotta Get Away, tracks from the album Smash released in 1994. This album would sell more than eleven million copies worldwide. This international success came in a post-Nirvana context in which punk rock enjoyed a resurgence in popularity.
