The Vision Bleak

The Vision Bleak is a German Gothic metal band, composed of two members: Ulf Theodor Schwadorf of Empyrium, and Allen B. Konstanz of Nox Mortis. The band was born from Schwadorf's desire to offer music different from what he was doing with Empyrium. He therefore called on Konstanz to found a new band whose main influences would rest on horror and the fantastical. Thus The Vision Bleak was born. After a first demo in 2002, followed by an eponymous single, the duo released their first album, The Deathship Has A New Captain, in February 2004. With this album, the band laid the foundations of a dark universe, with masterful melodies that borrow at once from Death metal, Doom metal and Dark metal. The flagship track Wolfmoon, the only one to date to have been illustrated with a video, is a success, and the reviews are positive.
