The Wicked

The Wicked is a Finnish Melodic Black/Industrial Metal band formed in 1999 by Erzebeath Meggadeath (Moonsorrow) and Necrotron (Finntroll). The band released its first album, ...for Theirs Is the Flesh, in 2002 and the next one, Sonic Scriptures of the End Times or Songs to Have Your Nightmares With, in 2004. After that the band split. What we have here is a strange bubbling concoction of musical ideas and experimentation. The influence of Finntroll is obvious, as one might expect from a band with an important member of Finntroll in its line-up. The second main component, however, are the faster and blacker metallic parts, and they strongly remind me of Dimmu Borgir's new symphonic black, including the sampled synth-choir sound.
