Thy Majestie

The band was created in 1998 by Giuseppe Bondì and Claudio Diprima. They were both in a group that played covers of some power metal bands, but they decided to create their own music themselves. They began looking for musicians for the project and found Maurizio Malta, Giovanni Santini, Michele Cristofalo and Dario Grillo. After the release of the demo Sword, Crown and Shields, they began working on new material, which was recorded in March 1999; the demo was named Perpetual Glory. Perpetual Glory received very good reviews. So in August 1999, they signed a contract with Scarlet Records. In March 2000, they began recording The Lasting Power, the band's first album, and they were able to finish it in April 2000.
