WebsiteTierra Santa is a heavy metal band from La Rioja (Spain), which appeared in 1997, formed by Ángel, Arturo, Roberto, Iñaki and Tomy. They started out self-producing before later going on tour with Avalanch and Mago De Oz. They are considered the Iron Maiden of the Spanish metal scene. In 2004, the writer Rubén Parra y Martínez dedicated his novel Mares de Leyenda to them, inspired by their track La canción del pirata. In February 2008, the band announced on its official website that it would cease all musical activities; it reformed in 2010.
