Timo Tolkki

Timo Tolkki was born on 3 March 1966 in Klaukkala, Finland. After having been the guitarist of Revolution Renaissance he is now the guitarist of Symfonia. Timo Tolkki joined the band Stratovarius in 1985, strongly influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen, after playing in the bands Antidote, Thunder and Road Block. At the band's beginnings, he handled the vocals in addition to the guitar, but after the third album he decided to hire singer Timo Kotipelto so that he could concentrate on his playing. He has training as a sound engineer and in 2004 opened his own recording studio named Goldenworks. Timo Tolkki recorded three solo albums: Classical Variations and Themes in 1994, Hymn to Life in 2002 and Saana – Warrior of Light Pt 1 in 2008.
