To/Die/For is a Finnish gothic metal band from Kouvola. To/Die/For was created in 1999, when the musicians of the hard rock band Mary-Ann (1993) decided to change musical style to play gothic metal. In July of the same year, after recording a self-produced EP titled Deeper Sin, they signed a contract with Spinefarm Records. Their first album All Eternity was released in Finland at the end of the year, and the band then signed a contract with Nuclear Blast (for Europe) and Pony Canyon (for Japan). The band recorded the videos "In The Heat Of The Night" and "Farewell", which received heavy airplay. In 2000, the band went on tour in Europe with Sentenced, Dark Tranquillity and In Flames.
