Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister is an American glam metal band founded in February 1973 but which would not record its first demo album, Ruff Cutts, until 1982 on Secret Records. In 1976, Dee Snider joined the band as singer; he was also the one who wrote all the songs. After replacing drummer Kevin John Grace with Tony Petri, Twisted Sister took a much heavier musical direction, influenced by Motorhead, Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. With the arrival of the offbeat singer, the band began to build a reputation at the local level and a core fan club was created and called itself "S.M.F.F.O.T.S.", which means more precisely "Sick Motherfucking Friends Of Twisted Sister".
