Unheilig

Unheilig is a German musical group founded in 2000 in Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle), around the singer "Der Graf" (literally "the count"). The style oscillates between Electro rock (or Synthrock), Electropop and what is customarily called "Neue Deutsche Härte" (literally "new German hardness"). The first album Phosphor (2001) features tracks in German and English, but on all later albums, the band limits itself to German. After having earned a deserved reputation on the German gothic scene, which translated into frequent participation in festivals such as M'era Luna or the Amphi Festival, where it was able to play in front of 25,000 fans, the band now aims at a larger audience.
