Unleashed

The band was formed in 1989 by singer/bassist Johnny Hedlun following the dissolution of the band Nihilist. The remaining members, for their part, formed Entombed. The band then began to compose its first tracks and fairly quickly released the demos Revenge and Utter Dark. These first productions would allow them to make people talk about them and to attract the attention of the label Century Media Records, with whom they would sign a contract in 1991. During the same year came out their first album, Where No Life Dwells. The band then went on tour promoting the album with the band Morbid Angel in Europe and the United States. In 1992, the band released Shadows in the Deep, which includes the cover of Venom's track Countess Bathory.
