Velvet Viper

Formed by former members of Zed Yago after their split in '88. Two albums were made in the 1990s, still in the Germanic metal style of Zed Yago. This line-up featured the future Metalium bassist Lars Ratz. Later, Jutta would form her own band Weinhold. In January 2018 drummer Claus Graf-Reinholdt, alias Bubi the Schmied, passed away at the age of 60. The same year, Velvet Viper returned with a new line-up around Jutta Weinhold (ex-Zed Yago) and a new album 'Respice Finem' produced by Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray). In August 2020, the band reissued the first album of Zed Yago, singer Jutta Weinhold's former band, 'From Over Yonder'.
