Veto

Veto was founded in 1980 as a trio playing hard rock with German lyrics. During the early years, the line-up changed frequently, with only guitarist Klaus Schiele remaining constant. From the spring of 1985, Schiele translated his lyrics into English, and in November 1985, suitable musicians were found to begin recording. As a drummer was still missing, one of the two owners of the music publishing house Gama International, Peter Garattoni, took up that instrument. Gama, with its driving forces Gravestone, Stormwitch and Tyrant, was one of the promoters of German metal. Garottini brought with him the experience of various jazz and blues bands from the 1970s along with recordings.
