Voodoo X

Born in Chicago (United States) to Haitian parents, he left at 15 for New York and became, through a small classified ad, the bassist of the Plasmatics. He left them after four albums to join Little Steven & the Disciples of Soul (the band of Steven van Zandt), with whom he released two albums, then embarked on a solo career. He is notably known for his 1986 hit, Feel the Heat, which reached no. 73 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was chosen by Sylvester Stallone as the theme of the film Cobra. In France, the track ranked 12th on the Top 50. He has worked, notably as a producer and composer, with artists such as Kiss and The Ramones. He has moreover been part of bands like Crown Of Thorns (an English band, of which eight albums have been released) and Voodoo X. Jean Beauvoir speaks French as well as English.
