White Lion is an American glam metal band formed in New York in 1983 by Mike Tramp and Vito Bratta. After moving from Denmark to New York in 1983, singer Mike Tramp (Mabel and Goujons) met Staten Island guitarist Vito Bratta (formerly Dreamer) and they decided to form a band. They recruited drummer Nicki Capozzi and bassist Felix Robinson (formerly Angel) to form the band White Lion. The band signed to Elektra Records in 1984 and recorded a first album "Fight to Survive". Elektra being unhappy with this final recording, the company refused to release the album and terminated their contract. The album Fight to Survive was finally re-recorded with the new line-up and released in Japan by RCA Records in 1984. In early 1987, the band signed to Atlantic Records. They released the album Pride on June 21, 1987.
