Winds of Torment

Winds of Torment was formed in 2001 in Saint-Étienne, in Rhône-Alpes. After two years spent working on original compositions, the band played its first concert on 28 March 2003. The band then embarked on a series of concerts in the Rhône-Alpes region, notably alongside bands such as Benighted, then in German-speaking Switzerland with Arkahn, Shorts and Churchbells, or on French roads with Killers, Necroblaspheme, and Artefect. Meanwhile, in 2004, Winds of Torment released its first self-produced four-track album, The Cells of the Erased, with the aim of approaching labels, media, associations and concert organizers and promoting its music across the widest possible territory.
