Wuthering Heights

The Danish band formed in 1989, under the name "Angelica". They quickly changed their name and recorded their first demo under the name Minas Tirith, an allusion to the work of Tolkien that still permeates their lyrics today. Tales From the Woods was released in late 1992. The band recorded its second demo in 1994, under the name "Vergelmir". Recorded at the Sweet Silence Studio in Copenhagen, this demo was very well received by the underground scene, notably in Italy and Germany. The band made headlines again in 1996, under its definitive name, when it contributed a track to a compilation, "Extremity Rising Vol.2" on the Serious Entertainment label.
