In a near future where robots are part of everyday life, Sergeant Jack Ramsay is a police officer specialized in interventions on "deviants," the malfunctioning robots that endanger those around them. Along with his partner Karen, they investigate a trafficking of electronic chips capable of turning any household robot into a killing machine.
