School Of Rock

Dewey Finn is a failed artist who shares an apartment with his friend Ned Schneebly. Ned's girlfriend threatens to throw him out if Dewey doesn't pay his rent. Dewey was counting on his band to come up with the money needed to pay it back, but he gets "fired" from his band No Vacancy. He steals Ned's identity and passes himself off as a substitute teacher. He discovers the musical talent of the children in the class he's in charge of and decides to form a band with the pupils, turning the classroom into a real rehearsal room. He teaches the children the history of rock and its philosophy and is counting on his new band to win the battle of the bands so he can pay back his friend Ned.
