This Is Spinal Tap

The film condenses onto a fictional heavy metal band all sorts of mishaps, based on real or imaginary facts: playing at a retirement-home dance or on a military base, getting lost backstage, seeing the band torn apart by ego conflicts between its leaders, or watching its drummers die one after another under improbable circumstances such as spontaneous human combustion, death by choking on vomit, etc.
