The small town of Ipswich (England) saw the band Napalm Death form in 1982. "Scum", their first opus, was released in 1987 on their own label Earache. This album was recorded by two line-ups, the first being composed of Justin Broadrick (guitars), Nick Bullen (vocals/bass) and Mick Harris (drums). Bill Steer (guitar), Jim Whitely (bass), Lee Dorrian (vocals) and again Mick Harris would form the second line-up. Two years after "Scum", Napalm Death released "From Enslavement To Obliteration", its second album. Lee Dorrian would then leave the band to give birth to Cathedral. In 1990, Napalm Death was back with guitarists Jesse Pintado and Mitch Harris as well as Mark "Barney" Greenway on vocals. The band then recorded "Harmony Corruption". Two years later, Mick Harris founded Scorn and would be replaced for "Utopia Banished".
