Début 2010, Alan Nemtheanga (Primordial) a formé un groupe hommage à Bathory appelé Twilight of the Gods. Outre Iscariah (ex-Immortal, Dead to This World), le casting comprend également Nick Barker (Testament, Benediction, ex-Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth), Blasphemer (ex-Mayhem, Aura Noir, Ava Inferi) et Patrik Lindgren (Thyrfing). Nemtheanga avait initialement prévu de donner un concert hommage à Bathory avec son groupe Primordial. Cependant, cela a échoué parce que le groupe était « trop paresseux pour le faire correctement », c'est pourquoi il a fondé le projet avec des amis musiciens.
