WebsiteAnvil (or Lips at the start) is a Canadian heavy metal band created in 1977. It is also considered one of the bands that played a more or less important role in the development of speed metal. Moreover, the song Bedroom Game found on the album Hard'n'Heavy released in 1981 is said to be considered one of the first speed metal songs in the world. Their biggest hits are: Metal on Metal, March of the Crab (instrumental), Forged in Fire and, more recently, Juggernault of Justice. The band began to lose its success from 1983, when Metallica and thrash metal arrived. The singer's nickname (Lips/Babines) comes from his incredible facial expressions. The singer also became known for using a vibrator to play the guitar.

Mascots
The Anvil
We've seen stylish mascots, ugly mascots, invisible mascots, and now I have the honor of presenting to you a mascot that isn't even a living being. Anvil has pushed back the definition of a mascot for a Metal band; their Anvil is everywhere: on their logo, on their artworks, on their merch... One might wonder whether an inanimate object can become the allegory of a music band, and I answer you with a resounding yes! Because it's not just any anvil, it's the Anvil with a capital A.
